If someone emailed you a PDF, a Word doc, or any other regular file attachment
and that email synced into Sure Send, the attachment never made it in. Only
inline images — the kind embedded directly in the body, like a signature logo
or a pasted screenshot — were being downloaded and kept. Everything else was
quietly discarded during sync.
Both the Office 365 and Gmail sync paths now download and store regular
attachments the same way outbound attachments already work, so they appear
alongside the email and can be opened from the timeline.
What you may notice
New emails that arrive with a file attached will show that file on the email
going forward. Large attachments (bigger than most mail clients would even
allow) are skipped rather than stored, to keep things bounded.
What this doesn’t change
This only applies to mail synced from now on. Emails that already synced
without their attachments won’t retroactively pick them up — re-opening one of
those older emails will still show no attachment.
