What’s New
Your Inbox already brought voicemails together with everything else, so we’ve retired the separate Voicemails item from the sidebar. Open Inbox and pick the Voicemail tab to see the same voicemails in one place, alongside the rest of the conversation with that contact.
Each action from the old page has a home in the Inbox voicemail view:
- Play a voicemail and read its transcript.
- Mark read or mark unread — and, just like before, starting playback marks a voicemail read on its own, which clears the New badge on the contact’s record.
- Delete a voicemail — with the same confirmation prompt, and the same permissions as before. Members see Mark read and Delete only on voicemails left on their own phone number; admins and owners can act on any voicemail on the team.
- Call back or send a text without leaving the view.
One thing works differently: the old page let you filter the whole list by read/unread and work through it top to bottom. The Inbox organizes voicemails by conversation instead, so you go through them the same way you go through your other messages.
Two things also got better along the way: voicemail playback in the Inbox now uses a secure, authenticated audio link (recordings that previously refused to play now work), and a recording that is still downloading says so instead of showing a silent player.
Old “Listen to Voicemail” links still work. The email notification you get for a new voicemail now takes you straight to your Inbox, and any bookmark or older email pointing at the previous Voicemails page redirects there automatically.
Voicemails on a contact’s record are unchanged — you’ll still find them on the contact’s Calls and Activity tabs.
